Hunt for puppies snatched from Scots home continues as cops appeal for info

The hunt to trace a litter of puppies stolen from a home in Aberdeen over a week ago remains ongoing, police have confirmed.

Three seven-week-old Red Nose Bullies were snatched during a raid of the property in the city's Cornhill between 4pm and 7pm on Sunday, March 19. During the break-in, the callous crooks locked the mother of the pups in the kitchen while they swiped three of her litter.

Seven puppies were left behind at the scene. Following the theft, police scoured CCTV from the local area in an attempt to catch the culprits.

But, despite their inquiries, the pups remain missing. Now, the force have appealed to anyone with information on the animals to come forward.

The trio are described as tan in colour with blue eyes.

PC Cruickshank, based in Aberdeen, said: "Despite our enquiries following the report of this theft, the puppies remain missing. As such, we are appealing to anyone with any information at all that could help us reunite the pups to please get in touch."

Last week, we reported on owner Becca Ewen's plea for her puppies to be returned home safely. The 24-year-old told how she had been out celebrating Mother's Day before she returned home to see three of her puppies missing.

She told the Record: "Someone came into my house, locked my dog in the kitchen while they stole three puppies from me while I was out having a Mother's Day meal.

"I've never been so heartbroken in my life. I can’t sleep or eat in pure panic.

"The puppies haven't had their first jags yet or been microchipped. They are all the same colour with their own little markings on them."

Anyone with information on the pups' whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting crime reference number PS-20230319-2885.
