Hunt for family of Glasgow man who died alone with no one to mourn him

Police are appealing for help in tracing relatives of a 67-year-old man who passed away in his Glasgow home last week.

John Cooney's body was discovered at 15 Quendale Drive in the Tollcross area of the city on Friday, March 19 and officers are anxious to find his family.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Cooney's death.

Officers believe he travelled extensively across the UK over the years and he may have relatives in England.

If you have any knowledge of John's family police are anxious to hear from you.

Contact the administration department at London Road police office on the non-emergency phone number 101 during office hours, Monday to Friday, or email GreaterGlasgowDASU@scotland.pnn.police.uk
