Police are hunting two women after an elderly couple were targeted in a suspected racially-aggravated attack in a central London park.
Officers were called to Regents Park just after 8am on August 13 after reports two dog walkers had attacked the couple and their dog.
The 75-year-old woman suffered a dog bite to her hand, which required hospital treatment, Scotland Yard said.
The 79-year-old man sustained cuts and bruising after he was pushed to the ground and assaulted by the two suspects.
It was also reported that the women had racially abused the victims.
The suspects left the scene before officers arrived and there have been no arrests.
Sergeant John Berry, of the Metropolitan Police, said: "The park should be a place where people can walk their dogs in safety.
"The level of aggression and violence used towards an elderly couple was shocking and I would appeal to anyone who recognises these women to contact police."
