A number of hungry fans queued up outside Dublin's newest Krispy Kreme on its opening day.
The brand new outlet at the Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre opened its doors to the public this morning at 8am.
Dedicated fan Liam, who had been waiting since 6am, was the first in line.
He told Dublin Live: "I've been here since 6am - after work. [I like] the classic glazed doughnut the best.
"I'm going to get a dozen for my family and friends."
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 customers received Krispy Kreme merchandise and special spot prizes.
Super fan, Becky, who travelled around the world for Krispy Kreme doughnuts, was given the honour of cutting the ribbon.
Becky said she'd often bring doughnuts home from the UK before they were available in Ireland.
She added: "Anywhere I go - at the airport in Thailand, in Vegas - anywhere I see [Krispy Kreme doughnuts] I get them.
"I would make birthday cakes out of the doughnuts."
Krispy Kreme country manager Declan Foley said the new store opening was "a long time coming".
He added: "We're really delighted to open this store in Swords today. The first hundred customers will get 'money can't buy merchandise'.
"Customers in Swords wanted us to bring the brand here so we're delighted to bring it here today in a responsible and safe manner."
The Swords store is the third outlet to open in Dublin with the first one opening in Blanchardstown in 2018 and in Dundrum in 2020.
