The F1 calendar signs off for the summer with the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The twisty and bumpy Hungaroring hosts the final race before the mid-season break and has been compared to Monaco’s street circuit for how hard it is to overtake on.
Lewis Hamilton is the record holder at the dusty circuit with eight wins, but the last came in 2020. Current championship leader Oscar Piastri took his first career win last year here, after an awkward stand-off with teammate Lando Norris over team orders.
Charles Leclerc pipped the McLaren duo of Piastri and Norris to pole position, taking Ferrari to the top spot on the grid for the first time this season.
He was well clear of his teammate Hamilton, who faltered again and will start a lowly 12th. Aston Martin overperformed and will share the third row, with Gabriel Bortoleto also impressing to reach Q3 for Kick Sauber.
