Hundreds queue to meet Stormzy at Liverpool ONE's HMV store

Hundreds of Stormzy fans have rushed to Liverpool ONE this afternoon hoping to meet their idol.

Around 300 tickets were sold for today's event, with demand completely outweighing supply.

Queues before the event even started wrapping around a large majority of the upstairs of the shopping centre.

The Vossi Bop singer is in Liverpool to meet fans and sign copies of his new album Heavy Is The Head.

The album, which was released last week, also features artists such as Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, H.E.R and Yebba.

Barriers were set up outside HMV, but queues are so long fans stretched far beyond them.

Excitement for Stormzy's arrival has been building all morning, with fans taking to Twitter. User @pastelwxtch said: "Omg you're killing me I'm going to cry. I can't contain my excitement. Have fun in Liverpool see you later. Have the best day you deserve every single second."

Stormzy himself was even tweeting fans telling them he would see them later too, proving the admiration is mutal.
