Massive queues of trainer fans have been spotted outside Liverpool’s Size? shop this morning.
Hundreds of shoppers were queuing up outside the Bold Street store in the hopes of being some of the first people to get their hands on new Adidas Original trainers.
Around 500 people turned up for the trainers but it is thought there was only 350 available instore.
Those at the front of the queue had been waiting there since Wednesday, a whole two days before the official opening this morning (Friday) at 7am.
The limited edition shoes are available exclusively in size? Liverpool and Dublin in limited numbers.
In 2010, Size? and adidas Originals released six shoes celebrating six cities around the United Kingdom.
To pay homage to the 2010 Anniversary Series, Size? have collaborated with adidas Originals again to continue the iconic series.
The 2020 collection takes inspiration from the twin cities of the original six, first up Dublin becomes Liverpool.
Across the year there will also be more releases inspired by the twin cities of the original series’ London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, and Birmingham pairs.
Based on the classic terrace-style silhouette, the shoe features a green suede upper with yellow-gold stripes on the sidewall, with a gum midsole, and is finished with gold embossing.
Alongside the limited edition of 2020 pairs, there are also collectible City Guides for each shoe filled with features exploring the shoe’s design inspiration, the city’s history and identity, its creativity and personality, and more.
