Hundreds queue in early hours at Trinity Leeds for Next Boxing Day sale

Hundreds of people have been queueing in Trinity Leeds shopping centre this morning to make the most of the popular Next Boxing Day sale.

This image shows the line of shoppers over two floors of the centre as they waited for the doors to open.

Across the country thousands will have set their alarms for an early rise to head straight to their nearest Next store.

The retailer promises at least 50 per cent off all sale items. Last year shelves were emptied within hours after the mad rush of bargain hunters in Leeds city centre .

Jake Smyth took to Twitter to share the picture this morning, writing: "Another year of absolute chaos! Check out the length of the #BoxingDay #boxingdaysales #BoxingDaySale #nextsale que at 5:55am in Leeds!"

Next are selling items with at least 50 per cent off in their latest Boxing Day sale (Jake Smyth)

If you were planning on heading to Next for the Boxing Day sales this morning, it looks like you'd better hurry up!
