Hundreds queue for Boxing Day sales at Cricket and Lush in Liverpool

Hundreds of shoppers queued for Cricket, Pandora and Lush to open in Liverpool city centre on Boxing Day morning.

Huge lines formed outside the stores this morning before they even opened, with people desperate to get their hands on discounted products.

Outside the Metquarter, shoppers queued down the street towards Jollibee as they waited for Cricket to open its doors.

Liverpool’s huge Lush store also had shoppers form a lengthy queue too, stretching back along Church Alley and around the corner towards Next.

Lush is offering shoppers up to 50% off with its Boxing Day sale, including holiday products and gift sets, as well as on-seasonal items like soap, shower goodies, fragrance, skincare and haircare.

Shoppers waiting to visit Pandora’s Liverpool ONE store also had a small wait, as well as those taking a trip into Zara. Overall at 10.30am on Boxing Day morning, Liverpool city centre was quieter than it has been in previous years with shoppers not heading in yet.

Boxing Day undoubtedly looks different in Liverpool this year, with the city region now under Tier 2 lockdown restrictions and many choosing not - or being unable - to visit stores.
