Hundreds of people ignored lockdown rules and partied in a garden until the early hours

This is the moment revellers ignored lockdown rules and partied in a garden until the early hours of the morning.

Frustrated neighbours said loud music was blasting out from a house on Chester Road, in Stretford.

The party reportedly started at 7pm on Tuesday night, with the music not stopping until 3am this morning (Wednesday).

A resident said a DJ was seen blasting out music in the garden, while people kept arriving with more booze.

Witnesses said there were around 100 people attending the party.

The incident was reported to Greater Manchester Police.

One neighbour, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "It went on until 3am in the morning. There were a lot of people around on the street.

"They were told to turn down the music. They were not respecting social distancing, there were 100 people drinking and smoking all of the time.

"They opened the back gate, there were lots of cars."

He added: "They were playing loud music. It was so loud my kitchen windows were shaking."

"They weren't respecting any neighbours at all. My children couldn't go to sleep at all, and I am going to work today.

"They were all different ages. I went over and asked if they would lower down the music because of my children.

"They said yes, but as soon as I got back home it went up again."
