Gatehouse Gala ended on Sunday after a tremendous week of entertainment and community activities blessed with generally dry weather and sunshine.
Climax of the celebration came on Gala Day on Saturday which saw the grand parade featuring a fantastic display of fancy dress outfits and decorated floats.
Hundreds of visitors and local people then enjoyed an afternoon of music and song with X-Factor star Nicholas McDonald in Garries Park.
Committee spokesperson Sara-leigh Cain said: “On behalf of the gala committee we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for coming out in support of our week long events programme, for every donation bucket you contributed to, each raffle ticket and programme purchased.
“And once again a huge thank you to our sponsors for their generous donations.”
This year’s event may be over – but planning is already under way for 2020.
Sarah-leigh said: “We have been receiving lots of requests for the dates of gala 2020, which are July 25 to August 2.
“It’s good to see so many people getting their accommodation bookings and holidays in now.”
