Hundreds of people enjoy Galloway Activity Centre's latest open day at Loch Ken

Galloway Activity Centre held an open day on Saturday.

Visitors were able to enjoy bubble football, archery, motorboat rides and the new cave wall at the centre on the banks of Loch Ken.

Centre director, Richard Hermon, said: “It was a lovely day.

“We had the dragon boats out on the loch and we also had a stand about the disabled sailing club which has started up every Wednesday.

“There were probably around 400 or 500 people down. The majority were locals although there was one person from Inverness.”

A competition to win a stay in the new geodesic dome was won by Inga Marie.

One activity people weren’t able to enjoy was a shot on Scotland’s largest swing which is shut and will re-open in May.
