Hundreds of kinky swingers pitch up for four-day sex festival despite Covid fears

Hundreds of swingers have turned up to make the most of a four-day sex festival this weekend.

The Swingathon kicked off in Grantham, Lincolnshire on Friday despite organisers claiming it had been cancelled earlier in the week.

One person attending the hyped-up event said around 200 happy campers arrived for the four-day frolic.

They claimed 400 tickets had been sold in total, with people forking out £200 per couple.

Swingers can take part in wet T-shirt competitions, a mobile dungeon, and even have a go on the adult bouncy castles.

The website says that the entire festival is “ Covid compliant”.

Kinky guests are invited to sleep in luxury yurts big enough for four people and enjoy hot tubs on the site.

Entertainment includes a naked singer, fetish demos, and even a Miss and Mr Swingathon 2021 competition.

Other activities for the adult-only camp include face painting, cigar bars, burlesque, and a Linkin Park tribute band.

It’s believed the festival, hidden among fields off the A52, is being heavily patrolled by security guards.

Government guidance states only 20 guests are allowed for “significant life events” such as funerals and weddings in England.

One guest has claimed social distancing rules aren’t fully being followed inside, but everyone who is attended must take a test beforehand.

He said: “There is a lack of loos and washing facilities, and no social distancing so it isn’t covid safe.

“Everyone was asked to take a test so that doesn’t worry me.

“It’s all pretty well spaced out.”

The four-day fest also boasts an outdoor cinema, BDSM demo, a sweet bar, and clay pigeon shooting.

A beach party is planned for Saturday following a meet and greet on Friday.

Guests were asked to take lateral flow tests 48 hours before arriving at the Swingathon.

The ticketed event is only open to swingers who have three personal verifications on their Fabswingers profile, the website stated.

Guests were only told the location of the event after purchasing and can only leave for emergency reasons.

A man who answered the phone on the number connected to the event website told a reporter: "I don't have to tell you anything."

A spokesperson for North Kesteven District Council said: “A licence application was correctly issued, for a bar and regulated entertainment up to 11pm in association with what was described as ‘private camping for a private camping club’.

“So long as the event is conducted within the restrictions of the Temporary Event Notice in place, and in a lawful manner, there is nothing more for the Council to do in respect of this event.

“Ultimately the event organiser is responsible for ensuring the event is compliant and runs safely.”
