VISAKHAPATNAM: Hundreds of Indian students who reached the border areas of various countries, neighbouring Ukraine such as Romania and Hungary have been stranded there for more than a day in freezing, bitter minus degree temperatures. The students, many of them Telugus from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana arrived at the borders hoping for an early evacuation from there.
But even after braving all odds in the war-ravaged Ukraine, travelling for hundreds of kilometres in private vehicles and then trudging for tens of kilometres to enter the border of other countries, they have been left to the mercy of the vagaries of weather and open sky. They had to sleep in open areas.
