Hundreds of homes in Tameside left without electricity after power cut

Hundreds of homes in Tameside have been left without electricity this morning after a power cut.

The outage is affecting 248 properties in Hyde.

The power cut was first reported just before 7.50am this morning, according to the Electricity North West website.

Engineers are on their way to fix the problem.

Power is expected to be restored by around 10.50am.

In a tweet posted just before 8am, Electricity North West said: "We are aware of a #powercut in #hyde affecting 248 properties, we are awaiting our engineers to arrive at the substation.

"Once they have arrived we will keep everyone posted."

The postcodes affected by the power cut are listed below:

SK13 6JB, SK14 6HU, SK14 6HX, SK14 6HY, SK14 6HZ, SK14 6JS, SK14 6JX, SK14 6JY, SK14 6JA, SK14 6PX, SK13 9JQ, SK13 6JQ, SK14 6JU, SK13 6JE, SK14 8NA, SK14 6DX, SK14 6DZ
