Hundreds of families turned out to celebrate Fairhill Fun Day

Hundreds of people descended on Fairhill last Saturday to enjoy the area’s annual fun day.

With the sun splitting the trees the event, now in its seventh year, was again hailed a great success by both organisers and those in attendance.

Put together by the Fairhill Community Group, in association with Community Links, the day offers people the opportunity to take part in free activities for all ages.

Attractions included a bouncy castle, Nerf wars, face-painting, glitter tattoos, a live DJ and arts and crafts.

Paul Hayward of Community Links South Lanarkshire said: “Thanks to elected members, Provost Ian McAllan, volunteers and the local community who all came along to help support the fun day. We hope you all enjoyed it.”
