Images released by Merseyside Police show hundreds of plants separately potted nearing the end of their growth.

Above the plants, industrial air conditioning units and lights can be seen.

Officers called the findings of the raid on the address a "great result".

The tweet from Merseyside Police North's official Twitter account said: "Good Afternoon from Walton Lane Local Policing. A great result from our warrant in Blackbrook Close, off Rice Lane this morning.

"Over 200 plants found. A big thanks for all the reports pinpointing this address and Happy Friday ! #Communityfirst "
