Hundreds gather as main road in West Bridgford closed for Ukraine march

A large crowd gathered for a march in West Bridgford in support of Ukraine. The march took place around the Central Avenue area, with people gathering by the Test Match pub at around 10.30am on Saturday, April 30.

Central Avenue in the town was due to shut to traffic from 9.30am to 1pm on Saturday, April 30, to allow for the Ukraine Support Parade. People dressed in blue and yellow held up Ukraine flags and a banner held at the front of the march read 'solidarity with Ukraine'.

The march concluded at Lutterell Hall where march co-ordinator and Operations Manager Sofia Lesiuk addressed attendees together with members of the Ukrainian Association, Rushcliffe Borough Council Leader Cllr Simon Robinson and other local dignitaries.

Up to 300 people were involved in the march.
