The heat was on in Troon today as hundreds flocked to the beach.
Crowds of folk dug out the bucket and spades and stuck on their swimming costumes to enjoy a day of fun.
Folk headed into the sea and queues grew at the ice-cream van as punters looked to cool off.
And unlike last year there appeared to be no trouble as youngsters kept themselves to themselves.
The beach was packed with happy holiday-makers and day trippers alike.
And Glasgow couple Elizabeth and Hugh Stewart took the trip up from Glasgow.
Hugh said: "We love Troon and we've never seen any trouble, we've only read about it.
"But there doesn't appear to be any of that today.
"It is just so good to see everyone smiling having a great day.
"Everyone is so happy, there is no place like Troon when the weather is like this."
