Hundreds continue to party in Stevenson Square in the wake of England’s defeat in the Euro 2020 final

Hundreds of people continued to party in Stevenson Square in the wake of England’s loss against Italy at the Euro 2020.

Fans refused to let the defeat get them down with the party continuing well after Italy lifted the trophy at Wembley Stadium.

Police in the area were monitoring the situation as the party continued late into the night.

A number of England fans, mostly wearing replica shirts, have clambered onto the top of the former toilet block in the Manchester city centre centre square.

The area has been extremely busy all day as fans gathered to celebrate England men’s football team reaching the final of a major tournament for the first time since the 1966 World Cup success.
