Hunar Hale remembers late actor Shiv Subrahmanyam; writes, 'Papa, is what I called him'

Television actress Hunar Hale remembered the late actor-filmmaker Shiv Subrahmanyam. She shared the poster of their TV show 'Mukti Bandhan' and made an emotional post.

Hunar Hale also shared a photo of hers with Shiv Subrahmanyam and wrote, "You were my dearest on set . ‘Papa’ is what I called him. Shall always reminisce moments spent together. Always smiling, always jovial & so humble . Your simplicity had my heart then and shall have forever . Much love , see you on the other side @shivsubrahmanyam RIP."

The actor-writer passed away on Sunday (April 10) night in Mumbai. "He wasn't keeping well for some time," a family friend of the actor told PTI. He was 62. Talking about Shiv, he acted in at least 30 films and television serials. He got lengthier and meatier parts on TV; most notably the egoist businessman Virani in ‘Mukti Bandhan’ (2011). Shiv was last seen playing a family elder in one of the films with Sanya Malhotra that was released on the digital platform.

The talented actor's Shiv’s funeral was attended by Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar and Makarand Deshpande. Unfortunately, Shiv Subrahmanyam's teenage son, Jahaan succumbed to brain tumour in February (2022) and Shiv is survived by wife Divya Jagdale.
