Everton's new 2020/21 home kit has been confirmed as the fastest-selling shirt in the club's history following the first full day of pre-order sales.
The strip, which is the first design from club partners hummel following the signing of a three-year deal with the Blues in May, has proven to be hugely popular after its release on Friday.
According to the club’s official retail partner Fanatics, just four hours after pre-orders of the club’s new home kit began, sales had surpassed the full opening day figures for each season over the past decade.
Training and leisurewear were also selling at a huge rate and, by late afternoon, July 3 became the biggest ever day of sales for the club's online store.
Alan McTavish, Commercial Director at Everton said: “We knew that our bespoke hummel kit would prove to be popular with supporters - and we are delighted with the overwhelmingly positive response that has helped make this the fastest-selling kit in the club’s history.
“With global sales of kit, training and travel wear, we believe this is only the start of a positive and creative relationship between Everton, hummel and Fanatics.”
The new kit features the iconic chevrons of the sportswear brand and a diagonal pattern on the front of the shirt inspired by the soundbars of Z-Cars.
The club's goalkeeper jerseys, instead of being long-sleeved, will be short-sleeved for the upcoming campaign after discussions with the club's shot-stoppers.

The hummel Everton 2020/21 home kit, training and team travel wear is available for pre-order from evertondirect.com and will be in-store at Everton One and Everton Two from Thursday 16 July.
