'Human remains found' near Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's £11 million mansion

Human remains have been found near Prince Harry and wife Meghan's £11 million mansion in Los Angeles, according to reports.

Workers who were doing landscaping found bones on an estate on Riven Rock Road in Montecito just yards from the Sussexes' plush home, the Sun reports.

It is not clear who the estate where the work was taking place belongs to, but workers immediately stopped their landscaping and called police to investigate the discovery, the newspaper adds.

The remains are said to be an incomplete skeleton and could belong to a Native American who lived in the area centuries ago but their exact age would be established by a forensic anthropologist called in by police.

“Work stopped right away on the property and the cops were called in," a source told The Sun.

“It’s quite a lot of drama for a place like Montecito.”

Santa Barbara officials confirmed the discovery was not connected with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the paper added.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their mansion last year after stepping down as senior royals and moving to the US with their son Archie.

After leaving the UK, they initially lived in Tyler Perry's $18m Beverly Hills mansion, but last summer they bought their current home in the exclusive neighbourhood of Montecito.

Oprah Winfrey lives in a huge $90 million home in nearby, with huge lawns and a stunning sea view.

Ellen DeGeneres also has several homes in the area.

Two weeks ago, Harry and Meghan celebrated their third wedding anniversary and reports say they exchanged "creative and romantic" gifts.

The couple tied the knot at St George's Chapel in Windsor on May 19, 2018 in front of the Queen, Prince Philip, Charles, Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the rest of the Royal Family.

Their son Archie turned two last month and the couple are now expecting their second child, a baby girl.

Prince Harry has opened up about his and his wife's mental health in several interviews and in a new series with Oprah, The Me You Can't See - which is on Apple TV+.

He sat down with the talk show host and talked about turning to therapy as well as struggling with his mental health following the death of his mum Diana, Princess of Wales.

Prince Harry talked about his childhood and also claimed that his father Prince Charles failed to protect him from "suffering" as a child and that he moved to the US to get away from it all.
