Hull has been chosen as the host city for a global business roadshow next month.
The Institute of Directors’ showpiece conference for business leaders – IoD Open House – will take place at The Deep on November 20.
The event will feature a host of top industry speakers, and include tips on how to expand a business into new international markets.
Pat Coyle, chair of the IoD in East Yorkshire, said: “I’m delighted that Hull has been selected to host a Global Business roadshow.
"Expanding your operations to, and trading with, new overseas markets offers the possibility of real growth for UK companies.
“But with complex factors such as Brexit transforming Britain’s role on the international stage, business leaders must understand how to quickly adapt to, and navigate through, a turbulent global economy.”
Following the success of its 2018 Convention, the IoD wants to give more business leaders the chance to learn from, and network with, some of the world’s most influential names.
Themes at the roadshow will include managing cultural diversity, raising finance for growth and investing in technology.
The aim is to give attendees the tools and support to take their business forward on the international stage.
Speakers include Malcolm Johnston, founder and director at Re-Formation Associates, Victoria Boldison, founder at Bolst Global, and Richard Voke, partner at Temple Bright.
Guests will also have the chance to meet new IoD Director General Jon Geldart.
