Hull City have announced the signing of the England under-20 player Moses Odubajo from Brentford for £3.5m.

The 22-year-old, who moved to Griffin Park from Leyton Orient last summer for £1m, has signed a three-year contract with Steve Bruce’s side but will not be eligible for Saturday’s Championship opener against Huddersfield.

“The Tigers have completed the signing of Moses Odubajo from Brentford for a fee of £3.5m,” read a statement on Hull’s website.

“The talented winger and full-back has signed a three-year deal with the club.”

Odubajo said: “I’m pleased that everything is done now. Unfortunately it didn’t happen in time for me to play on Saturday, but I’m looking forward to playing for this club.”

Hull are also interested in Brentford’s Andre Gray but have already had a sizeable offer turned down.
