Hull City make move to sign Liverpool and Wales starlet Ben Woodburn - reports

Hull City have reportedly enquired about the possibility of loaning Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn.

According to Goal.com, the Tigers are looking into the availability of the youngster, who's seen his career stall recently after a promising start for club and country.

The Tigers are keen to give the 19-year old a fresh start on Humberside, with Wooburn once again expected to leave Anfield on loan this season.

Liverpool team-mate Herbie Kane is also a target for Hull boss Grant McCann, and could seal a loan deal of his own later this week.

Woodburn became the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool's history back in 2016, and burst onto the international scene with Wales by netting on his debut in a World Cup qualifier back in 2017.

Hopes were high when he was loaned out to Sheffield United last season, but it proved to be an unsuccessful spell, with Woodburn making just eight appearances before returning to Liverpool with an ankle injury.

The teenager's career is subsequently in need of a boost, with sources close to the player even suggesting that he'd be prepared to drop down to League One in order to get game-time.
