Hull City boss admits Nottingham Forest 'target' Kamil Grosicki has attracted interest

Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Kamil Grosicki has attracted interest according to Hull Ciy boss Grant McCann.

Grosicki was linked with the Reds earlier this summer , with Sabri Lamouchi's side said to be ready to table a £2.5m bid for the Polish international.

That was back in May, with O'Neill having since departed the City Ground, with Lamouchi replacing him minutes after his sacking last month.

Last week it was revealed he would cost Forest a cool £4m if they were to pursue the 31-year-old.

He has one year remaining on his contract, with the Hull Daily Mail reporting that, should the Tigers countenance a sale of one of their star players, it would be on their terms only.

But McCann admits it will be difficult to prevent interest turning a player's head, with Grosicki involved in 21 of Hull's goals last season.

“I’d love them to be here,” McCann told the Mail, referring to Grosicki and fellow in-demand players Markus Henriksen and Jarrod Bowen.

“They’ve all just had very good seasons but I’m a realist and I understand that it’s hard to keep players like that.

“But they’re here and I’ll continue to work hard with them. Come August 8 we’ll know where we are.

“I’m sure there’s interest. There’s not any bids that I know of but I know there’s interest in them.  All I can do is work with them at the minute and see what happens.”

Forest have signed six players so far this sumer, with Albert Adomah and Sammy Ameobi strengthening the Reds' forward line.
