Hugo Lloris has responded over his Spurs future amid links with Jose Mourinho reunion at Roma

Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to reunite with his former captain Hugo Lloris at AS Roma.

The Portuguese coach started the 2020/21 season strongly at Tottenham as Harry Kane and Heung Min-Son fired Spurs to the top of the league in November.

However, Mourinho was sacked in March as his side faltered in the league and lost to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Mourinho wasn't out of a job for too long as AS Roma appointed him to be their new manager ahead of next season and the former Inter and Chelsea boss wants to bring Hugo Lloris with him to the Italian capital, according to AS Roma Live.

The report claims that Mourinho wants to bring a new goalkeeper to the Stadio Olimpico and the French shot-stopper tops the list of targets.

Lloris, who has just one year left on his current deal in north London, has kept his cards close to his chest regarding his future.

“I will answer these questions once the European Championships are over,” he told French publication Nice-Matin.

Lloris will be hoping to help guide France to another international tournament win this summer, having been an integral part of the side that won the 2018 World Cup.

The 34-year-old has been hugely impressive during his nine-year stay with Tottenham, featuring a total of 373 games for Spurs, keeping 126 clean sheets along the way.

But with uncertainty over Tottenham's managerial situation and speculation over the futures of several players, it is shaping up to be a big summer for Spurs.
