Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli and Davinson Sanchez left out of squad as Spurs take on Leicester

Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli and Davinson Sanchez have all been left at home as Spurs take on Leicester City in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino has been rotating his squad as Tottenham face a busy period of matches over the coming weeks, with Serge Aurier and Danny Rose left in the UK when the team travelled to Greece for their midweek Champions League group stage game against Olympiacos.

With Spurs playing less than 72 hours later, Alli and Sanchez who have both recently returned from injury have been left out while the manager also cannot call on the services of his skipper Lloris because the Frenchman's wife has given birth.

Youngsters Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga have travelled with the squad to the King Power Stadium, along with Victor Wanyama, Oliver Skipp as well as Rose and Aurier.

Lloris' absence means that Paulo Gazzaniga will take his place between the sticks against Brendan Rodgers' men.

Leicester will face a tough test for Pochettino's side, particularly with Spurs' poor away form in 2019, and both teams currently sit on eight points in the fledgling Premier League table.
