Hugo Lloris again questions Jose Mourinho's tactics as dressing room split laid bare

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has questioned Jose Mourinho's tactics for the second time in a week as they find themselves in total crisis mode.

Spurs slumped to a feeble 2-1 defeat to North London rivals Arsenal on Sunday.

And they followed it up with a humiliating exit from the Europa League at the last-16 stage as they threw away a 2-0 first leg lead to lose 3-2 on aggregate to Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday.

Lloris aimed a thinly veiled dig at Mourinho's perceived overly defensive tactics following the loss to the Gunners by saying: "We were expecting a little more, to see another Tottenham.

"It was a match I feel that was played with a lot of fear. I felt like we did not feel free and Arsenal were able to profit."

And the Frenchman was even more angry after the loss to Zagreb, and seemed to indirectly blame Mourinho once again.

"The way we play is just not enough, not enough," he blasted. "It’s one thing to come in front of the camera to say we’re ambitious, the other is to show it every day in training sessions, to show it every time on the pitch.

"We have a lack of basics, lack of fundamentals and all our performance is just in relation to that."

And he also suggested there is a dressing room split, and clearly thinks those who are not playing regularly are not doing enough to impress when they are given their opportunity.

He continued: "You cannot let it down, if you play or don’t play. To behave as a team is the most difficult thing in football, whatever is the decision of the manager you have to follow the way of the team.

"If you follow the team only when you are in the starting XI, that causes big problems for the team because you pay in one moment and you’re going to pay in your season.

"Today I think is the consequence of that. We had great moments in the past because we could trust the togetherness that was in the team.

"Today, I’m not sure, I don’t know about that."

Pressure is now well and truly mounting on Mourinho, and another loss to Aston Villa on Sunday would see the knives sharpen even more as his future at Spurs is called into doubt.
