And he shunned posh showbiz grub for an after-show favourite, no doubt enjoyed by many of his fans.
Jacqueline Buchanan, 55, from Robroyston snapped a photo of Hugh, tucking into a humble burger while chatting with guests at the hotel's Bar Lounge.
Jacqueline said: "He was really friendly and spoke to all his guests and didn't look tired from all his shows at all."
