Australian actor Hugh Jackman didn’t have a great time when his kids reacted to his bald look in the recently released film, Pan. The actor, who will be turning 47 today, had to sport a bald look for his character — Black Beard. In a recent interview, he told us that the first reaction of his kids was not very welcoming.
“My daughter (Ava Eliot Jackman, 10) was initially taken a little aback. But after a while, she started touching my head and started poking it. I think she found it okay then. She started enjoying it, I guess,” he says, adding, “And my son (Oscar Maximilian Jackman) who is 15 years old, he was like, ‘You have got a very weird job’.”

The Prestige actor admits that he is a strict father at home. “I mostly play the bad cop back at home (laughs). The thing is that I have been brought up in a strict background, so I think I am a little stricter when it comes to my kids as well. But other than that, it’s a pretty laid back atmosphere at home,” he says.
The Hollywood star even shared a video when he went bald for the film that hit Indian theatres this Friday.
Hugh Jackman also spoke about the brains behind his character’s entry song (Smells Like Teen Spirit, Nirvana) in Pan. “That was our director, Joe Wright’s idea. He is very particular about this music. For this sequence, we tried a number of songs — English folk songs to gaelic music. Then one day, Joe came in with Smells like Teen Spirit, and the entire set just went mad,” he says.
