Hugh Jackman in Scotland and makes surprising stop while sightseeing ahead of Hydro gig

Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman made a surprising stop on a whirlwind tour exploring Scotland ahead of his SSE Hydro gigs.

The Greatest Showman and Wolverine actor is performing at the 13,000-strong Glasgow venue on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as part of his The Man. The Music. The Show tour.

But, making the most of his time in Scotland, the 50-year-old went on a mini road trip - travelling to Loch Lomond and meeting fans at Inchcailloch.

The whole entourage were dressed in 'Laughing Man Coffee' hoodies - representing the coffee company owned by Jackman.

The Aussie shared photos of the trip to his 25 million Instagram followers before making an unsuspecting surprise trip to a chippy - in Clydebank of all places.

The team at Bennie's Fast Food were left stunned as the singer stopped off for some grub on his way back to Glasgow ahead of the hotly anticipated tour dates.

And the film star was even kind enough to pose for photos with staff.

Later the star posed up for a snap in a cemetery in the city, looking peaceful before his explosive performances later in the week.

Captioning the picture on Twitter, Jackman wrote: "Spectacular day in Glasgow. #Grateful ".

Yesterday Hugh Jackman arrives in Glasgow and shares hilarious video before Hydro gig announced his grand arrival in the city on social media, by posting a hilarious video as he passed the SSE Hydro on the Clydeside Expressway.

Posting on Twitter and Instagram, the singer and actor could be heard saying "The Hydro...The Hydrooo. Woooo."

Jackman will be singing tunes from hit film The Greatest Showman as well as the music Les Miserables.

He'll also be belting out favourites from the likes of Irving Berlin, Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.
