Hugh Grant’s Love Actually bachelor pad in South Kensington is for sale again after £1 million price drop

Hugh Grant’s former bachelor pad with rooftop hot tub and 1,500sq ft terrace is for sale in South Kensington for £8,950,000.

The Undoing and Paddington actor is thought to have lived in the vast three-bedroom apartment while filming Love Actually in 2002.

The star sold the property after just one year for £3.5 million - £250,000 more than he had paid.

It has been for sale on and off in the years since the actor owned it, most recently in 2019 when it was listed for sale for £10 million or to rent for £6,500 a week. It was taken off the market after the owner was approached by a tenant.

Situated on the seventh floor of a modern block, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the apartment is thought to have been too high profile for publicity-shy Grant.

The flat boasts a rooftop hot tub, a gym, two guest bedrooms and a 600sq ft master bedroom suite.

In 2019, Hugh Grant bought a Chelsea townhouse for £17.5 million where he currently lives with his wife Anna Eberstein and their three children.

The actor’s property portfolio reportedly also includes a villa in his wife’s native Sweden and a £10 million home in Notting Hill – the west London area immortalised in the 1999 romantic comedy where Grant plays a hapless local bookseller besotted by a Hollywood mega-star played by Julia Roberts.
