Hugh Grant’s former Love Actually penthouse with roof hot tub on sale for £7.95million

A swanky London penthouse once owned by Hugh Grant has gone on the market for an eye-watering £7.95million.

The three-bedroom property in South Kensington was home to the British actor while he filmed the Christmas classic Love Actually - and boasts a rooftop hot tub, private gym and panoramic views of the city.

Inside the real-life bachelor pad, there are two large guest bedrooms and a lavish master bedroom, all with en suite bathrooms and access to a balcony.

The 3,000sq ft abode also features a large semi-open plan reception room, with luxurious mirrored walls, crystal chandeliers, and glass partitions that lead to the dining room and kitchen.

The seventh-floor flat is directly accessible by a lift and has south-facing views towards the river and Battersea Power Station in the master suite.

Outside a 1,500 sq ft sun deck houses the separate private gym room and the property’s hot tub, perfect for entertaining guests while watching the city below.

The penthouse is listed with Alexander Millett, Prime Central London boutique agency.

But despite the hefty price tag, the property was originally listed for an even bigger cost in 2019, when it was put on the market for £10million.

In its description about the penthouse online, Alexander Millett says the apartment is "well located for the shops, restaurants and public transport facilities of South Kensington" including access to the Circle, Piccadilly and District underground lines.

"The property is also conveniently situated for the open spaces of Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall," it reads.

"A number of world class museums, including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum are within close proximity."

It lists the service charge as £12,000 per annum and the ground rent as £1,400 per annum.

Alexander Millet says: "An outstanding penthouse offering three double bedroom and extensive outside space with stunning panoramic views over London.

You even get your own private gym for the hefty price (Alexander Millett / SWNS)

"Situated in this well maintained building, the property spans just over 3,000 sqft of lateral internal space, with over 1,500 sqft of private outside space, on which sits a covered sun deck and jacuzzi.

"Offering direct lift access, the property is split between three bedroom suites and a large semi-open plan reception room, dining area and kitchen.

It also comes with a rooftop hot tub - great for warmer weather (Alexander Millett / SWNS)

"This leads onto the west facing terrace with views towards Chelsea.

"The master bedroom suite takes in south facing views towards the river and Battersea Power Station.

"Much of the apartment benefits from vaulted ceilings and it is decorated throughout in a contemporary style, maximising the huge amount of light that already penetrates the space."
