Hugely popular Bath pizzeria Dough to open Bristol restaurant this weekend

A thriving South West pizzeria is set to open its Bristol branch this weekend.

Based in Bath's historic Corridor shopping centre, Dough is an independent, family-run business which has proved very popular.

In February the restaurant announced it was opening a new branch in the centre of Bristol.

It will fill the space vacated by Aquila in Baldwin Street and will hope to emulate the success of  other popular Bristol pizza spots Pizzarova, Bosco and Flour & Ash.

If you like the sound of Dough, you're in luck. The restaurant is opening this Sunday (March 31), just in time for Mother's Day.

Their selling point is that you can choose your pizza base, with the chefs holding the belief that this is the most important part of the pizza.

You can choose from six mixes of dough - including gluten free and sourdough - and then from a selection of toppings.

They say their mission is to bring you the finest quality ingredients cooked simply at the best possible value.

10 facts about the history of pizza

Whatever your lifestyle choices or dietary requirements, there is a pizza for everyone at the family-run restaurant.

The Bath branch was rated as the best pizza restaurant in the city by TripAdvisor in February last year.
