Huge wall of tributes built for murdered James Halewood by heartbroken Kirkby community

A huge wall of flowers, cards, balloons and photographs have been left at the scene where James 'Jay' Halewood was stabbed to death.

James died on Sunday afternoon after being found with serious stab wounds outside the shops on Broad Lane in Kirkby. Locals tried to help James and paramedics did their best to save him.

Police launched a murder investigation and have since appealed for individuals in the Kirkby community who might have information about what happened  to  'search their consciences.'

No arrests have been made at this stage and whoever killed James is still at large.
