Monster waves are being forecast for surfing spots in Wales, Ireland, Cornwall and Devon as a fierce Atlantic storm heads towards the UK.
The Met Office has issued a two-day weather warning for gale-force winds which covers all of England and Wales - with gusts of up to 70mph predicted for coastal areas.
And specialist surf forecasters MagicSeaWeed (MSW) are predicting 22ft waves at some locations around the UK coastline.
MSW's surf charts show a big wave system forming in the Atlantic from Tuesday, and barrelling into the UK from Wednesday evening, with the surf peaking at around noon on Thursday.
MSW's surf forecasts predict maximum surf heights of 22ft at Porthleven on Cornwall's south coast, with 20ft waves predicted at Fistral beach in Newquay, on Cornwall's North Coast, with 18ft waves in North Devon at Woolacombe.
Easkey - home to some of Ireland’s most famous waves - is also expected to see 20ft waves.
Surf of up to 16ft is expected at Rhossili, on the Gower peninsula in Wales.
The Met Office's 'Yellow' weather warning, which comes into force a 9pm on Wednesday, runs until 3pm on Thursday. It says strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption to England and Wales.
"Gusts of 50-55 mph are possible inland, especially close to showers," says the Met Office.
"Gusts may reach 60-70 mph on coasts and hills, especially in the west, before gradually easing on Thursday afternoon."
