
Goryokaku Fort, a popular national special historical site in Hakodate, Hokkaido, is lit up with about 2,000 lights along its star-shaped periphery, creating a mystical atmosphere. When seen from Goryokaku Tower's observatory, which is 90 meters high, a huge star emerges from the snow. The annual illumination will be held until the end of February.
