Huge smoke cloud after terrifying arson attack on Dublin home

Gardai are investigating after a terrifying arson attack on a Dublin home.

The incident happened on the Galtymore Road in Drimnagh at around 3pm on Tuesday.

It is understood that petrol was poured on the front door of the house and then set alight.

Footage from the scene shows a huge cloud of smoke billowing across the street.

Emergency services can be seen battling the blaze as it engulfs the property.

Thankfully, gardai confirmed that nobody was injured in the fire, however no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai in Dublin are investigating an incident which occurred at Galtymore Rd, Drimnagh at approximately 3pm this afternoon, Tuesday, June 23.

"A report was received that petrol was poured on the front door of the house which was then set alight.

"No other damage was caused. No injuries sustained and investigations are continuing.

"No arrests were made."
