Huge sinkhole that 'swallowed' bin lorry collapses AGAIN leaving Scots without water

A 'big crater' sinkhole that swallowed a bin lorry has collapsed again leaving Scots without running water.

The sinkhole, in Murano Place in Leith, Edinburgh first caused chaos in February this year when the waste truck became stuck sparking an emergency response.

Edinburgh City Council repaired the hole at the time, Edinburgh Live reports.

But fuming locals have recently taken to social media claiming the road has collapsed again.

Council chiefs said the area had been sealed off with a safety barrier.

Residents fumed online about the sinkhole in Leith, Edinburgh (Edinburgh Live)

It's believed a Scottish Water issue caused the sinkhole to open up.

This week the sinkhole has been pictured and videoed by residents with water streaming into it and filling it up.

One local wrote on social media: “I saw some people complaining that their water was off this morning."

Another shared a video of water flooding in the hole.

They wrote: “The stopped our water because if this, we are annoyed with this road, even they can’t seem to fix it.

Multiple residents who live near it also reported that their water supply was cut off on Wednesday, July 14.

When Edinburgh Live visited the sinkhole on Thursday afternoon it had not been repaired.

Edinburgh Live contacted Scottish Water for comment.
