A couple captured the terrifying moment a shark came face-to-face with a crocodile metres away from swimmers.
The tense scene, which unfolded in the Ord River in the north of Western Australia, was spotted by a couple who were fishing nearby.
Chelsea and Bryce had just set up their drone to see what was lurking up ahead, when they spotted a large bull shark, which appeared to be trying to intimidate a five-metre crocodile, just a short distance away from oblivious families and swimmers.
The short clip sees an enormous crocodile, which Chelsea estimated to be approximately 16ft in length, waiting patiently for its next meal when a shark begins to approach it.
With the crocodile in its sights, tension begins to rise.
However, after a brief stand-off, the shark heads off in another direction completely unscathed.
The duo told Daily Mail : "We didn't realise crocodiles or sharks were in the area as locals are always in the water."
"I think this was a rare sighting but probably good for people to see what's lurking around the waters in the Kimberley Region."
Chelsea and Bryce shared the terrifying footage with their almost 2,500 followers on Instagram where they regularly post updates of their latest travel adventures.
Since being posted, the video has been viewed over 3,000 times, liked 297 times, and has received numerous comments from fellow travel fanatics.
One person wrote: "Remind me not to go swimming there."
