A huge rescue operation was launched after a walker 'badly fractured' her ankle in a fall on Saddleworth Moor.
The air ambulance, paramedics and 20 volunteers from Oldham Mountain Rescue Team helped bring the woman to safety following the accident on the hills above Dovestone Reservoir on Sunday afternoon.
After being treated at the scene she was stretchered down the hill to a road ambulance which took her hospital.
The rescue took around two hours and 20 minutes.
In a post on Facebook OMRT said: "Another wet Sunday afternoon tea time call for the Team; this time North West Ambulance Service requesting assistance with the treatment and evacuation of a female who had fallen on a hill near to Dovestone and suffered a badly fractured ankle.
"A small number of team members were dispatched to locate and assess the casualty, which allowed the others to assemble and carry kit up to the cas site. As the Team were administering medical aid, the North West Air Ambulance landed close by and dispatched their paramedics up the hill to assist.
"The casualty was packaged on the team stretcher and carried down to the main track, from where she was transported to hospital by land ambulance.
"The team then returned to base to clean, disinfect and dry the kit in line with the now normal COVID-19 protocols.
"Another fine example of inter-agency working and cooperation from NWAS, NWAA & OMRT."
