Shoppers in Consett queued up desperate to get their hands on cheap Molton Brown products when they went on sale in the town on Thursday.
Last week we revealed that Consett's famous discount shop Barry's Bargains were going to sell goods from the famous beauty brand for as little as £5 with miniature toiletries, diffusers and candles all up for grabs.
They were snapped up almost as soon as they went on sale, with some customers so desperate to get their hands on some that they asked on Facebook if some could be kept back for them.
And there was more of the same yesterday when more Molton Brown candles went on sale at the Middle Street store at 9am. Available in scents like Pink Peppercorn, Gingerlily and Ylang-Ylang, the boxed candles were down from £30 to just £12, with plenty of takers for a beauty bargain.
There were also Christmas fragrances to snap up for a bargain price including Festive Frankincense & Allspice and Mulberry & Thyme.
As predicted from the huge social media reaction to more cheap Molton Brown products going on sale at Barry's, there was huge interest in them when they went on sale yesterday morning, as you can see in the picture above, as loads of shoppers clamoured to get their hands on the goods, which also included soap sets.
We imagine plenty will now be getting wrapped up for Christmas presents, while other shoppers will have already used the shower gels or lit the candles for themselves.
