People in the L8 area of Liverpool are currently experiencing an unexpected power cut.
At around 10am, residents reported a loss of power - the cause of which is currently unknown. A number of households have been affected by the power outage.
According to Scottish Power Energy Networks, there will be no power in the area until around 1.45pm.

An emergency response team has been dispatched to the area to investigate and carry out any necessary repairs.
Properties are affected on Loudon Grove, Princes Road, Kelvin Grove, High Park Street and surrounding streets. SP Energy Network had no advance warning of the power cut and only became aware of it at 10:07 am.
Post codes affected include: L8 2UL, L8 3EU, L8 3UE, L8 3UG, L8 3UQ, L8 8AQ, L8 8AT, L8 8JY, L8 8JZ.
A text message received by a tenant of Princes Road, L8, reads: "SP Energy Networks apologise for any inconvenience caused by the power cut affecting customers in the L8 postcode area of Liverpool.

"We did not know in advance there would be a power cut, and became aware of this at 10.07am. Our emergency response team has arrived at Boulevard Kingsley Road substation to investigate and repair the fault.
"Power is still expected to be back on by 1.45pm. If this changes we will make every effort to update you."
The message added: "Thank you for your patience."
