Huge power cut affecting hundreds of homes in Wigan

A huge power cut is currently affecting hundreds of properties in Wigan

There are 637 homes without power in the Astley and Tyldesley areas, Electricity North West has confirmed.

The shortage is affecting the M29 area of the borough and it is not yet known when power will return to normal.

Engineers are on their way to the scene to investigate and the Electricity North West will issue updates once they have them, the provider said.

In a tweet, Electricity North West said: “We are aware of a large  power cut  in  M29   Astley   Tyldesley  area of  Manchester  affecting 637 customers. Engineers are en-route to investigate. Updates will follow once we have them.”
