Huge pop-up venue with DJs, food and cocktails opening on Bristol harbourside

Award-winning venue operators are launching a massive new outdoor space for eating, drinking and live entertainment in Bristol.

Outer Space will bring street food, beers and DJs to the Lloyds Amphitheatre from Friday (April 30), creating a 'totally unique' al fresco experience to the harbourside.

Diners and drinkers will be able to book seats across 36 tables, choosing from a selection of seating options including VIP covered booths, a covered cabaret area and terrace deck, alongside deck chairs, picnic benches and hammocks left free for walk-ups.

Outer Space will also host a range of live performances with plans for a line-up of big name DJs, bands and cabaret shows that will be announced as lockdown restrictions are eased later in the summer.

The venue is headed up by the award-winning team behind the Christmas Spiegeltent, an annual pop-up cabaret and event space which takes over Lloyds Amphitheatre every December.

Speaking about the new project, founder Steve Meadows said: "We’re incredibly excited to be bringing this totally unique experience to Bristol, and are really looking forward to bringing great food, drink and entertainment to the harbourside.

"We can’t wait to put a vibrant, summer twist on our unique brand of music and entertainment we’re known for at the Spiegeltent, served up alongside top-notch street food and drinks in a buzzing environment."

Bookings will be taken across four sittings between 12pm - 11pm, where guests will be able to choose to drink and dine, or just book for drinks.

Details of Outer Space’s ticketed events will be released in the coming weeks as coronavirus restrictions ease and larger numbers of people are allowed to meet outdoors.

Standard bookings for Outer Space will be available from midday on Friday, April 30, with four designated booking sessions available to choose from.

A booking fee of between £20-30 per table will be taken in advance, with food and drinks at an additional fee. Walk-in space is also available for all sessions.
