Huge police presence on Govan street as officers swoop on 'stand off' between demonstrators

A road in Govan has been blocked off by police following an incident between demonstrators.

A major police presence has been seen on Govan Road this evening, with dozens of riot police and police vans seen lining the street.

It is believed the incident has occurred after an Irish republican march was protested by loyalists.

Police are attempting to contain the two groups with photos appearing to show smoke bombs being let off as well as flares and missiles.
