Huge pirate party with treasure hunts, sea shanties and fancy dress coming to Liverpool this summer

Sefton Park's Palm House will hold a children's Pirate Party this summer.

The party will be hosted by infamous pirates Blunderbuss and Badger on Tuesday, August 6 and will start at 2pm.

Children will be able to learn sea shanties along with actions while also gaining some insight into how pirates used to live, including the weapons they used and even what they would eat for dinner.

Kids who are fans of adventure will be able to take part in a treasure hunt with special guest, Peter Pan.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged at the event, which is ideal for children of all ages.

Adults are welcome to join in with the activities too.

Kate Martinez, visitor experience manager at the Palm House said: "We love nothing more than seeing the Palm House being enjoyed.

"There is nothing better than looking out over a sea of happy faces and we know this is what we will see while the children enjoy the tales and games with Blunderbuss and Badger."

The Palm House Pop Up Cafe will be open selling refreshments throughout the afternoon, but families are welcome to bring their own picnics along.

Tickets are £2.50 to £5.50 and all children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
