A woman who died one week after being diagnosed with cancer has been praised for her courage.
An outpouring of grief and well wishes were paid to Sarah Armstrong by hundreds of ECHO readers after her tragic story was shared.
Aintree Hospital health care assistant Sarah Armstrong, 22, died one week after visiting the doctors to ask about mysterious bruises she developed.
The Fazakerley mum was told to urgently have chemotherapy after a blood test uncovered she had acute myeloid leukaemia.
Tragically days after starting chemotherapy, on January 29, the "amazing mum" suffered a stroke and sadly died on February 1.
Before Sarah died she tried to raise awareness about the rare cancer's symptoms in an emotional post, where she said "knowing the symptoms can save your life."
Many ECHO readers said they shared the same experiences as brave Sarah.
Mandie Richardson said: "My mum is poorly in hospital with AML. It's a horrible disease. May you RIP beautiful lady xx"
Kim Apter said: "Devastating. Lost my son to AML, he fought for five months [and] went through hell.
"Sadly [he] didn't make it either, he was nine. Sending throughts to all her family and friends."
Gavin Winstanley added: "I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my sister to the same illness, she also suffered similar complications. Thinking of you all xxx."
Others pointed out how brave Sarah had been in her last weeks.
Rebekah Wilson said: "Unbelievably sad. Poor girl. She was so brave in that post, braver than I would ever be. Such a shame.
"Condolences to her family and little girl xxx"
Ruth Parry said: "The human spirit never ceases to amaze me. How someone who is suffering puts their story out there to help others, such a pity the ending for this young lady was not a positive one."
Julie Gough also offered her condolences to Sarah's family and said she was taken too soon.
She wrote: "This is just absolutely heartbreaking .
"I don't know you but I'm thinking of all the family who have lost such a beautiful young lady far too soon and a beautiful little girl who has lost her Mummy, so sad. R.I.P Sarah x"
As well as many offering kind words to Sarah's family and friends, funds on a gofundme page for the young mum soared.
Gail Clarke said: "Just donated for Sarah's funding page for her funeral. If we all can help the family by giving what ever you can to give this girl.
"A lovely send off that would take so much stress of the family x"
